This tobacco, very similar to Basma, is a golden yellow / brown Oriental type tobacco leaf that is grown in Bulgaria, a country with a tradition in production of high quality tobacco. This is a quick growing, shorter and smaller leafed tobacco that provides a sweet, pleasant flavor and smooth burn that Oriental tobacco is known for.
Basma, in Turkish, means 'to compress', which is a good way to describe this leaf. Often pressed into bales, this whole leaf tobacco exhibits size and aroma similar to the late Yenidje, with a very floral taste and aroma. An incredibly light smoking leaf, this tobacco pairs well with a lighter tasting leaf, such as the Canadian Virginia Flue Cured.
"You are a very kind person Monique. Have a wonderful day. "

This strain is excellent, I was seeking a tobacco from a foreign country that was potentially grown in soil that has less contaminates than conventional US tobacco, and although there is no evidence of such, not only is this tobacco extraordinary in flavor, but my side effects from smoking such as cough and dizziness and fatigue are far less, this tobacco so smooth (although not lacking in nicotine) you can leave a cigarette of this in your mouth between drags without the smoke burning your eyes or nostrils. My best foreign blend that I used with this was about 50% this, 35% greek oriental and 15% lakita fire cured, and it was probably the best cigarette I ever smoked. I use a conventional grinder to shred my tobacco and then I toast in the oven for 2 minutes as I am in a humid environment and whole leaf tobacco only smokes well in cigarette form if it as at a pristine low moisture level. I rolled them up in a RAW king size machine using laramie brand filters. Better cigarette than what could ever be purchased on the shelf, without toxic additives.
